Unfortunately, I can't recall the name of the artist, but the entire town of Fiesole (including the architectural museum) was full of his bronze statues. Most were of sightly distorted or changed faces and hands. Some were just massive, including one in the central square. The huge-scale face looking upwards at the sky was one of the biggest. I
I just turned 40, and I just spent nine months with my husband and two kids in France for reasons that I explain in great detail in this blog.
Now that we're home, we'll see what happens next.
A lot of people ask us how we managed to interrupt our four lives to take this trip. The answer is that we decided we had to, and spent 18 months planning and yanking ourselves out of the terroir in which we were rooted. To Slip out the Back, Jack and Get Yourself Free, at least temporarily, get a copy of the book at the bottom of this page and make your own plan.
So, where've you been since we saw you last?
Aiguines Aix-en-Provence Amherst, Massachusetts Antibes Arles Aups, (most of the time)
Avignon Brooklyn, New York The Camargue Cambridge, Massachusetts Cassis
Chateauneuf The Calanques Cornish/Plainfield, New Hampshire
I LOVE that face. Do you know the story behind it? Please share!
